There is a saying \"I heard and I forgot, I see and I remember, I do and I understand\"

\r\n\r\n

The importance of taking students out of classroom to absorb, interact and immersed in extra-curricular activities like eduactional trips has several learning impacts for students to obtain practical information within the brain. School strives to create these opportunities to students so that they can learn and have exposure as well as expandable knowledge on the practicability of what they get in classroom.

\r\n\r\n

Our school is dedicated to teach students not only academic programs per country's curriculum modality but also holystic formation on humanity and the dignity of human person basing on our school vision and motto, which is further nurtured by moral formation. Tours and school educational trips have been part and parcel in achieving our goals in forming students towards their mental, physical, spiritual and socail growth.

\r\n\r\n

Reinforcement of classroom materials is closely related to educational trips since it sparks excitement to learn, therefore it brings classroom lessons to life, and gives students opportunity to visualize, experience, as well as discussing information long after the particular trip. Furthermore educational trips encourage students to learn, work as team with other classmates outside of their normal groups, moreover they make life long memories among peers, which is no doubt a fun learning in itself. (Stuart 2018)

\r\n\r\n

The memories and experiences these kids have acquired from the trip together will last a life time, it has eveoked passion kids didn't know they had, opened their eyes to what's out there and gave them sense of self they would never have had without this educational trip.

Pandemic/pandemic disease are reffered to communicable or infectious/contagious disease that spread fast within a short period of time from a particular region to the whole country/state then to the whole continent and the rest of the world. pandemic disease mostly characterized by two modes of transmission like touch (contact) and Air (breathing) with respect to technical terms such as touchborne and airborne respectively. The spread of these disease is synonimically known by the term outbreak.

\r\n\r\n

In history the World has witnessed many more outbreaks which have caused fatalities and lethal effects to people, nation and the World at large, human being in search of treatment and vaccine to fight these outbreaks, yet the outbreaks come again in new form. Outbreaks/Pandemics started long time ago and human have shown positive responses in battling with these catastrophes though many lives were lost due to lack of knowledge on these pandemics and advanced way to take precautions. To mention a few; outbreaks started striking people when people started economic activites, invention and discoveries. The spread of these pandemics and outbreaks date back to hunter and gather societies, but the shift from this mode of life to agrarian life which was 10,000 years ago created communities that made pandemics more possible.

\r\n\r\n

The history show that during this period is where human encountered these outbreaks, in low profile these outbreaks emerged as epidemics spreading in small area and then strike wide. Tuberculosis, Leprosy, Influenza, Small pox and many others started during this period.

\r\n\r\n

11TH CENTURY - LEPROSY

\r\n\r\n

According to historical traces leprosy grew into pandemic in Europe in the middle ages resulting in the building of numerous leprosy focused hospitals to accomodate the vast number of victims. Leprosy is bacterial disease that cause sores and deformities which may lead to amputation of limbs; leprosy is a touchborne disease which afficted tens of thousands of people in a year.

\r\n\r\n

18TH CENTURY- CHOLERA PANDEMIC (1817)

\r\n\r\n

This wave of small intestine infection originated in Russia spread to other parts through soldiers, modes of transmission is through feces-infected water and food henceforth it can be regarded as both water and foodborne disease. its a bacterial infection which later spread to Britain, Spain, Indonesia, China, Japan, Italy, German and America where it killed 150,000 people. A vaccine was created in 1885, but the pandemic continued.

\r\n\r\n

19TH CENTURY - PLAGUE PANDEMIC ( 1855)

\r\n\r\n

Starting in China and moving to India the plague claimed 15 million victims, transmitted by fleas from mice the bacterial infection existed and considered to be active until 1960.

\r\n\r\n

19TH CENTURY - SPANISH FLU (1918)

\r\n\r\n

According to Greenwood Press (2008) the avian-borne resulted in 50 million deaths worldwide, the disease was first observed in Europe and it spread around the world, at the time there were no vaccine to treat this killer flu strain. By october, hundreds of thousands of Americans died and body storage scarcity hit crisis level, but the threat dissapered in summer of 1919 when most of infected developed immune or died.

\r\n\r\n

20TH CENTURY - HIV/AIDS (1981)

\r\n\r\n

First case identified in 1981, AIDS destroys a person's immune system resulting in eventual death by diseases that the body would usually fight off. AIDS was first observed in American gay communities but bilieved to have developed from Chimpanzee virus from west Africa in the 1920s then disease moved to Haiti 1960s and then New York 1970s. 35 million people have died of AIDS since its discovery and cure is yet to be found.

\r\n\r\n

21TH CENTURY - SEVERE ACUTE RESPIRATORY SYNDROME (SARS) -2003

\r\n\r\n

According to Greenwood Press (2008) First identified case was in 2003 believed to have possibly started with bats, spread to cats and then to humans in China, followed by 26 other countries infecting 8096 people with 774 recorded deaths, its usually a viral diease attacking the respiratory system causing shortness of breath which may results in Pneumonia and death. it spread through respiratory droplets from cough and sneeze; quarantine efforts proved effective and by July the virus was contained and has not re-appered since.

\r\n\r\n

21TH CENTURY - COVID-19 - (2019)

\r\n\r\n

On march 11, 2020 the World Health Organization anounced that COVID-19 disease caused by novel corona virus as a pandemic after being in 114 count\"\"ries in three months and infecting over 118,000 people. the disease is caused by a novel corona virus strain that has not been previously found in people. Symptoms include respiratory problems, fever and cough and can lead to Pneumonia and death, like SARS it spread through droplets from sneezes.

\r\n\r\n

Without a vaccine available until now the virus spread beyond chinese border to the whole world population with almost 2 million cases and 119,686 deaths (today's date). The disease prevail but with many prevention alerts which are emphasized by governments.

\"Obstacles don't have to stop you, if you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out to climb it, go through it, or walk around it\" - Michael Jordan

\r\n\r\n

The above phrase reminds us of what has happened, the world corona pandemic that has sriked the world after a dacade of silence and harmony, we can call it a problem or an obstacle since the world stood still for a while. Overall the world most of places with interactions and people's movement were limited to control the rate and gravity of spread. we have seen big companies closing down, beaches, worshiping houses, some countries with partial and other total lockdown, we are the witness of death trolling up everyday.

\r\n\r\n

The spread of the pandemic has affected the social and economical and lives of people globally, the lockdown has left many without job hence individual economic status has become an issue on discussion, people stayed locked inside resulting to low production of both non and consumable goods in many parts of the world.

\r\n\r\n

Apart from these effects, eduactional institutions were among the affected area, total closing of these institutions was an obligation, schools were among them, the purpose of this was to ensure everyone is safe and it helped reducing the spread of disease while students were laging far behind the school academic calendar hence behind the curriculum implementation. The introduction of online and internet studies culture was something difficult to adapt, it was a challenging task to both teachers and students due to internet accessibility and lack of proper devices for the programs, furthermore to some it wasn't easy due exposure on the oparation of devices. All of these were the challenges bringing new constructive ways for communication between teachers and students at home.

\r\n\r\n

According to authentic information from medical researches in the country it shows we are in the stage of low flat curve of spread, therefore low risk of infection spread, technically speaking the spread isn't intense as compared to other parts of the globe. taking these information positively precautions is not an option, its a must do thing and we are serious on that.

\r\n\r\n

With the presence of the pandemic opening places with high risk of spread, places like schools, stadium and flight was a long dabate in discussion, guaranting the health and safety of everyone it was nearly impossible. Currently many places are getting to normal, re-opening of different places is on its progression. Schools are back to normal schedule, getting new experience at school with teachers, students as well as parents; its a challenging time since parents are a bit worried and nervous concernng the safety of their children, teachers are doing their tireless effort to help students adapt the precautionary culture while they have to make sure curriculum implementation is active. school management team is doing whatever its supposed to be done to ensure teachers, students and supporting staff stay safe and perfom their daily activities as it is ordered.

\r\n\r\n

we are delighted to welcome back our students and teachers as well, so that we continue with learning and teaching process at our schools.
